Unfortunately we had a pretty bad experience here. Once arriving all available tables were filled with the previous guests leftovers and very dirty so we had to wait a long time to even get a clean table (its seat yourself). The disappointment continued with the food as my burnt ends were so dry and lacked any flavor. My cornbread was cold as was my greens so I opted to not eat the rest of the food as I felt it was a place I might get ill from. My family food was the same except my wife did become ill. I'd been there once before and wasn't overly impressed. Recently saw a positive review and decided to give another try. I was there early (right about 12 noon) and staff was just getting in their groove. I ordered a (lean cut) brisket sandwich. The amount of fat was so disgusting. I worked with a BBQ company for years. The fat cap of a brisket can be removed. In addition, the thickness of each slice could've been 3 slices if properly done. Picture shows amount of fat easily removed from a "lean cut" brisket sandwich that cost me $19.25

Burnt ends and fried okra are my go-to here. And I LOVE the redneck sauce. Service is always top notch - servers are always smiling and personable. It’s a comfortable, laid back spot for a delicious, reasonably priced meal.
