I often visit the IHOP in Fairfax, VA, late at night several times each month because it’s the only place in the area that allows dine-in so late. Usually, I have a good experience, but this time I was really disappointed. I ordered the Chicken Fajita Omelette, which I’ve enjoyed before, but when it arrived, it wasn’t right. Average American chain experience. This one is actually better than most other IHOP’s in the area when it comes to food quality. Had the burger and pot roast, tasted decent and was happy as it was one of the few places open during Thanksgiving. Service was chaotic has they were quite busy. Overall I’m satisfied.

I appreciate that IHOP is open 24 hours, making it convenient for early morning breakfasts. The menu offers various food items, and the pricing is quite reasonable. While the breakfast burrito had a promising appearance and tasted decent, I found it hard and dry. The inclusion of crepes adds to the overall value for money. The service was satisfactory, though I did find the chairs to be less than ideal for extended seating; while they are cushioned, the 90-degree angle makes them somewhat stiff. The ambiance is pleasant, providing a decent dining experience.
