Decided to try out The Collective Cafe one Saturday morning for breakfast. Overall, we had a good experience. The service was alright and the food was good. We ordered the Veggie Scramble and the Meat Lovers Omelette. Both items came out quickly and portion sizes were really good for the price we paid.

My wife, daughter, and I stopped into the Collective Cafe recently on a Saturday afternoon! We were in the market for some coffee drinks . My daughter always tries a new drink concoction that takes a few minutes to say to the clerk . I ordered my usual Caramel Macchiato drink ! Our drinks were tasty ! The place is very inviting and clean ! Great place to take a small group or a couples date night . They have food items and desserts as well ! If you’re in the area go by and check them out in Matthews NC . It’s a little off the beaten path , (behind the hospital ) but worth stopping In and check

I ordered the Breakfast Empanadas. One bacon, egg and cheese. The other veggie. Seasoned potatoes and salsa. The Empanadas were a little on the bland side and the eggs were very runny. The potatoes were seasoned well.

Eclectic spot with a lounge vibe. The food was good but could be better. The chipotle sandwich and steak fries were delicious but the bacon was cold and tastes like it had been sitting out for a while. I really wanted to like the French toast but it had an eggy aftertaste although the great presentation. The staff were very friendly but don’t expect table service as that appears to be their business model (you order at the front and seat yourself). The different seating was welcoming and felt like a mix of casual and business. Overall a great vibe, I’d visit again to try their remaining menu i
