I enjoyed my meal at the restaurant. It was my first time. I had the Southern sample plate. The chicken wings and candied yams were the best parts. I’m not a collard green kinda gal but I will eat them. The chunks of smoked turkey were tender and deelish. The smoked Gouda Mac n cheese was good but I would Have loved some black pepper with mine. He had the chicken and biscuit. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. Multiple people checked on us with sincerity. Will definitely come back. Nice cocktail menu but I was not in a mood for alcohol. My friend had a Bloody Mary which he liked.

We went for brunch on a Sunday walked in and was seated right away. My hunny asked me are we on a picnic because we received the plastic take out utensils. We waited way to long to be acknowledged by a server (I was in my phone looking at other options nearby). One we ordered the food came in a reasonable time. I ordered the chicken and waffles my hunny ordered grits and omelette and OJ he commented the OJ was good. Came in this past week with my family to celebrate a very small accomplishment in my life & the staff did exceptional job of making us feel welcomed & appreciated! A quick lunch turned into our favorite meal spot. The bartender Kyla & Cook David did wonders and have us itching to come back this week. What a great environment & we were infatuated with how proud the staff was to be representing such a beautiful black-owned establishment! 111 Madison keep doing your thing!
