Spats is my kinda place. The first time I visited Spats, I saw a neon beer sign in the window and figured I’d grab a beer while I was waiting for my gf to finish her shopping. I was instantly met with the dive-bar/hole in the wall vibe. Spats did not disappoint! If that’s not what you’re looking for, you might try the dining area instead of the bar area, which has at least 10 TVs, so I assume it’s also a nice sports bar. Not all it was supposed to be. My perch at over $18 was 3 pieces of over breaded premade over cooked boredom. Though the tartar sauce was excellent. The lasagna that was certainly not the best in lake county as the sauce tasted like Ragu. But it was huge. The two who got the NY strip found it was cooked perfectly to their liking (not always an easy task). For nearly $100 with only 2 beers I can find better food for 4. Not impressed. Our server was great and was tipped accordingly.

I'm from out of town and saw they serve chicken tenders (( autistic mind you with a preference towards finger food. )) so I came in and I'd say overall it's a small hole in the wall bar that offered acceptable food for the price. The coke was flat at first but they went in the back to correct it and the 2nd cup was drinkable, tenders were the star if I was a local I'd eat it over other national options like arbys. The fries were not acceptable. They tasted like pen station which I am not a fan of. The waiters were nice and quick to assist overall I spent about 30 mins inside. If your looking f
