Before heading home we stopped at Jrk to grab some lunch before our flight. I was so overwhelmed by the delicious smells soon as I entered that I forgot to take photos, I was just excited to eat! And it did not disappoint. Jrk is a fast casual restaurant it gave me like a Jamaican Chipotle vibes. You get to make your bowl there are several different options for bases, and proteins and then you get 3 sides in addition to your meal. We ordered the jerk shrimp rice and peas with cabbage and plantains, oxtails with rice and peas and plantains and (2) beef Patties that didn’t make it in the photo.

SOOOOO GOOD!!! I got the jerk chicken bowl with broccoli, Yuca sticks, plantains, and curry chickpeas and it was so much better than I expected! It is spicy (of course because it is jerk chicken after all), but everything was so flavorful. The pineapple maple plantains were such a nice contrast to the perfectly cooked juicy (semi-spicy) chicken. And the chickpeas were wonderful and I loved that they came with peppers. And their special ranch sauce is really good!! For a meal in the “bowl” style it was amazing, 10/10, and unlike any ordinary (boring, unflavourful) bowl you can get from anywhere

As a Jamaican I went in with a open mind but not expecting to be wowed but I was blown away! The food is authentic and delicious! I’ll definitely be going back! The rice and peas reminded me of my granny’s recipe! Mi naw lie, di food gud 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

Yesterday was the first time I came to this location. When I entered, the building's layout was strange. I asked, "Is this one place?" One of the workers replied sarcastically, "This one place," as he stepped to the side. I had to figure out where to order, pay, and eat. The men who made my plate were respectful and welcoming. When I went to pay, I was disappointed by the limited drink options: only soda, canned water, smoothies, and acidic juices. They didn't have fountain drinks, bottled water, non-acidic juices, or cups of water. I had to purchase a drink somewhere else. Another disappoin
