This place is a dying breed of a classic diner for an amazing price, and alot of food. For all the people saying the food is not that good. I disagree, the food is good especially for the price! 10oz steak with ton of sides for $15. If you're complaining about the food, you can get that same 10oz steak at a Ruth's steakhouse for $65 in SLC. Stop your whin

Midvale mining cafe is good. However, my food came out very quickly which makes me think it’s premade. The food taste good, nothing impressive. However, the service and the our waitress was friendly!! I got the south of the boarder and added eggs and it was still yummy! Id definitely go if you want to try something new.

I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. Unfortunately the gravy was tasteless and opaque. The eggs were fine and cooked how I liked them. We came as a large group and it was very 50/50 who liked their meal or not. I wasn't impressed but it could be what I ordered too. Classic diner feel and OK cleanliness. Servers were great! The food - meh to almost yuck.

Midvale Mining Café is a fun and unique spot with a throwback mining and western theme that gives it a lot of character. The decor really sets the tone and feels like stepping back in time. They offer a good selection of daily specials at very reasonable prices. The daily special was halibut, and it looked really good. Several tables around me ordered it, and the scones that came with it got a lot of praise. I decided on the ham and cheese omelette with sourdough toast instead, and it was a good choice.
