We were watching ATK (America's Test Kitchen) and there was an episode about preparing Spaghetti all'Assassina (Assassin's Spaghetti). So we looked up where we can taste it in NYC before trying to recreate it in the kitchen - the closest place to Manhattan is in Union, NJ. So we went on a (short) road trip. I went to have lunch with my mom at Assassina Restaurant. The food was good, although I went in with higher expectations. I think the place could improve its customer service. It’s not that we received bad service, the lady who took our order and the person who cooked the food were both nice, but after helping us and bringing out the food, they stayed in the back of the restaurant most of the time. We felt like there wasn’t anyone available if we needed something. By the time we left, there was no one at the front to even say goodbye.
