First time here. Food: We were excited to try some Somali/African cuisine. For beverages, we ordered the chai tea and the mango smoothie. I was expecting a plain chai tea, but what I received was actually a chai latte. What a wonderful surprise! It wasn't the type of chai latte I might expect from a local coffee shop, but it was better than many I've had. We started with a couple of veggie sambusas. They were excellent. All I can say is get the Sambusas, they are worth every penny. We had the beef ones. They were seasoned to the Gods. I can still taste them and smell them. We went for them only and we stuck to the plan which was hard, but next time we probably won't. The inside is clean and the staff is very nice. Street parking can be little taking, but listen, that parking ain't keeping me from the Sambusas.

Wonderful place for a fresh bite to eat! Lovely service and great food. We were some of the only people at the restaurant around 6pm on a Sunday so the service was very quick and very fresh. We got a side salad, a beef sambusa, a chicken sambusa, the steak platter, and a mixed berry smoothie. Everything had wonderful flavor and the smoothie was one of the best i’ve had! It was a decent price all coming out to about $27 total. The green sauce has a kick to it but is really good mixed in with things!

This is the only Somali restaurant in Milwaukee, and they are doing a great job representing the culture and food. They offer a good variety on the menu like tender goat, chicken dishes, tilapia fish, sambusas, rice meals, fresh juices, and chai tea — everything you expect from authentic Somali cuisine. Everything feels real and well prepared, with generous portions and great taste. The place is simple, but the food quality stands out. If you’re in Milwaukee and want real Somali food, this is the spot.
