This place has been here for at least 50 years, in one form or another. Always a true funky neighborhood type restaurant, primarily offering breakfast, lunch and coffee options. Sometimes it is so busy that you can't turn around. But, being directly across the street from campus you should expect that. There are a few times during the week that it is quiet and relaxing, and my favorite time to visit is on school breaks and summer weekdays. Vast menu. Pretty good fried chicken dishes! Tots, chips (stale and cold and oily), etc. not noteworthy. A pretty chaotic environment - stand in line, right up on tables of people eating. Counter ordering. Hard to see lunch menu - we used our phones to find the online menu.
