Not impressed with my first visit. My family is Jamaican, so I came in with certain expectations for the food and overall experience. Unfortunately, we were immediately greeted with a list of items the restaurant was out of. There was no rice and peas, no patties, no oxtail, and the list continued. I completely understand that restaurants can run out of items during a busy lunch rush, but this was the beginning of the dinner hour, which made it disappointing to hear that so many staple menu items were unavailable. Been coming to Gracie’s since I was 18 — still pull up here and there, and they don’t miss. Everything be tender, juicy, smells phenomenal, and actually fills you up. Finally stopped at Grace’s Cafe to try the food. Was craving ox tails. First time there. I got oxtails, rice and peas, cabbage and a curry chicken patty. It was all so delicious.

I used to come here a lot just for their jerk chicken. The service is typically rude, but the food was good. Came today and got a large stew chicken for $21.65. There was literally one wing and one chopped up thigh and a whole heaping plate of rice and peas. You literally get two pieces of chicken in a large? I would hate to see what a medium looks like. It’s overpriced. The stew chicken was watery and not like a gravy. I wish them the best, but I will never come back. Cool runnings has never done me wrong and their portions are great for their price
