peter christopher★The food was not what I was expecting. The quality of the broth wasn’t great and the noodles were too tough. VERY heavy on the oil and the broth didn’t feel clean, dizzy after eating. People didn’t seem very satisfied around us eating. Honestly, I’m still very disappointed and dizzy. The staff weren’t very friendly, just push you in and out — very “business feel” to the environment. Not sure I’ll be having ramen for a while …
Andrea Inman★★★★★My toxic trait is thinking I can handle a Level 5 spice bowl here without breaking a sweat. Spoiler alert: the ramen won, but it was worth every tear. 🍜🔥 If you’re visiting or just moved to Oahu, this is the 'if you know, you know' spot in Honolulu. It’s cozy, authentic, and the smell of that Tonkotsu broth hits you the second you walk through the door. What makes this place a neighborhood staple is the 'choose your own adventure' menu. You can customize everything: • Noodle Thickness: Thin or thick? I’m team thick for that perfect chew. • Firmness: From soft to firm, they get the texture
Philip Sblendorio★★★★★Really great tan tan men. Competes with Japan and is a fair price for the portion. Dumplings were awesome as well but on the small side which I actually prefer. Cucumbers were also very good and the marinade was 10/10!! Service was impeccable and the food came out very quick. Put your name on the list on their website since there’s not a ton of seating but people are in and out quick. The location has parking which was nice. The restaurant itself is exactly what you want from a local ramen spot…homey with good vibes and very comfortable.
Howard Johnson★★★★★Can't say anything bad about this ramen! The appetizers are different from your typical American ramen joint, and I would recommend this place based that alone. Tables were almost full despite having just opened, and it's seems like they are used to having a waitlist so plan accordingly. Someone tried to bring their pet dog inside? They were turned away of course. Let's not bring pets into a small crowded restaurant.
