The paninis were tasty, and the drinks were good. The café may be a little small for our stroller, but luckily there weren’t many people, so we were able to dine in comfortably. However, if it had been busy, it would have been difficult to bring a stroller in for our toddler. The service was quick, and it was cozy inside. Street parking is available, and luckily we were able to find a parking spot right away outside the restaurant.

I had to do an event just down the street. It required me to be on site stupid early...so my hotel breakfast and coffee were not an option. They were already winners for having coffee just a 2 minute walk from where I was....but that seeing that smoked salmon panini on the menu meant I'd be solving my breakfast problems. First of all...that was one of the best modified bagel and lox sandwiches I've ever had. Generous amounts of everything; they don't skimp on anything. It was just absolutely wonderful. I regret never going here in the before (the fire) times and I really was never sure it was a cafe because of the signage. Fast forward to 2025, the place is all new, and owner Patrick gave a compelling interview on Citycast Madison that put this spot on my radar. It’s really cool inside, you could shoot a movie in there. Make sure you look up. The ceiling is shiny and exquisite. The coffee is from Anodyne, a fave from Milwaukee. You’ll love it. This place has the small coffee shop vibe I'd expect from the eclectic east side. Warm, bright, well decorated. Food was good, I enjoyed the tuna melt (they could give more chips though, I actually laughed at the tiny amount of chips as a 'side' but maybe they were just running low). Bike parking out front.
