Asked around town where to get the best oysters, and everyone told me I had to check out Moawek. They were absolutely right. This place is a beast. The vibe and interior are incredible, the staff couldn’t have been friendlier, and they were always making sure we were taken care of. And the food… the oysters were fantastic. Fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. If you’re in town and love oysters, you need to stop in and give this place a try.

We went on a Saturday night and had no wait and exceptional service. However, I was not impressed with the mixed drink I received as well as some of the food. I really liked the steak- it was cooked to perfection. I didn’t enjoy the seafood platter- the fish tasted like it was unsalted and the shrimp were fairly cold and not crispy. This is my first time so I’m not going to give a terrible rating but spending $100 on a dinner- I honestly expected a little more out of the food. A good way to describe mine and my friend’s experience is “they need to put a little bit of love into Mohawk.”

My family has been coming here for years and we always stop in any time we're passing through. The seafood is fresh and always delicious, seasoned just right. Pretty much everything on the menu is great but it's the seafood you come here for. My favorites are the shrimp poyboy and stuffed crab platter. Love the chill vibe. The food was excellent. Liked that the stuffed crab was not mini like at some of the other seafood places. Oysters were delicious. Catfish was nice big fillets. Highly recommend.
