I had high hopes but in the end it fell short. The server was nice and attentive. The atmosphere in the outdoor patio area is nice if the weather is nice but inside is dark and quite small. We sat outside. The food and corresponding prices are where it really lacks. Nothing that we ordered (and I tasted everything everyone received) was noteworthy and in some cases just strange. For one thing, they make their own ketchup. Okay cool, but we didn't like ketchup-like sauce with chipotle peppers in it. If I could give Jenna more than a 5 star rating I would. An absolute gem of a server and this restaurant is lucky to have her. Kudos kudos kudos. Beers were great patio was awesome. Management if you're listening give her a raise. She made a simple beer experience warm welcoming and went the extra mile for my service dog which means the world. I would be back!

My experience at this restaurant was a disaster. I left extremely disappointment with my experience here. First, when we got there the hostess could clearly see us from inside but she did not come out to greet us at all. My friend had to go inside and flag her down. We asked to sit outside since it was a nice afternoon, she immediately gave attitude that it would be a while we weren’t in a rush so we stated we would wait. I loved our stop at Downtown Public in Murrieta! First off, the little downtown area is such a vibe—not overcrowded, just the right amount of people and the kind of atmosphere that feels welcoming. We had just come from a spa day, so we weren’t super hungry and decided to split the Public Burger. Honestly, it was perfect—juicy, flavorful, and exactly what we needed.
