Was invited to lunch. I had the stuffed shrimp plate & sweet fries with a side of catfish. The sweet fries were the best I've ever had! My cousin had the seafood potato. Others had chicken and salmon. I was a little shocked thar the shrimp stuffing was cornbread based so it had a sweet taste. The fish was huge and flaky. Service, atmosphere and the food were stellar! I've been sending guests here for several years to support the vision but it was my first experience. May God continually bless all connected to this great establishment.

Upon entry into Cafe Reconcile, we were warmly greeted by 2 youths who promptly led us to our table. They set up the table for us and another youth came over to take our orders, starting with drinks. We asked for water this time and she came back in a bit with our iced water, giving us time to look through the menu. This time, we ordered the Jerk Chicken Plate ($13) that came with 2 sides where we ordered the Collard Greens and Mac & Cheese. We also had the day’s special. Since it was a Thursday, we tried the LA Shrimp and White Beans ($13). For desserts, we tried the Peach Cobbler ($7). Over

Café Reconcile is a Must Visit on your New Orleans Dining experience, it is a warm casual dining environment, with ALL 504 Flavor, from the music, to the staff...The staff is courteous, friendly, attentive and fast. They make the experience personal yet professional, almost feeling like home. I was disappointed when I had lunch here yesterday (6/11/26). One of the reasons I wanted to have lunch here was because the last time I ate here (3 years ago), my friend and I enjoyed having the students wait on us and interacting with them. Yesterday, I had a woman (who obviously wasn’t a student) as my server/waitress. While she was efficient, she was a paid employee who knew what she was doing.
