Went for dinner thought it was known to be a GREAT place, well not so much. Had the shrimp Genevieve came out cold, the 5 shrimp was way overcooked the pasta cold and hard. Not what I was expecting for $26. The second dish the pan seared shrimp and scallops actually had 5 shrimp and 5 scallops with corn risotto which was all room temperature and nothing to write home about for $36. Went here long ago and it was much better then. Unfortunately will not be returning!

Eastside Grill has been my #1 favorite restaurant for a dinner out since the 1990s. We drive over an hour to eat there. This weekend, when I made my reservation, I shared that it would be a birthday dinner. We were seated in a booth as requested, but the goodness ended there. The people next to us were being given the VIP treatment, because one of the employees was clearly a relative. This is a nice restaurant and all expected good food. Appetizers were good (potato cakes and cauliflower). We had to ask for soda and water refills. Salads were fine but nothing special. My own wedge salad with shrimp didn’t arrive until the other entrees and it had brown lettuce and blackened shrimp that had gotten cold, even under a heat lamp. Others had lamb rack, pasta, and beef that they liked. The tips and shrimp I was sharing with a friend arrived with scallops and had to be remade. Sadly I had a poor food experience here. First dish I was going to order the waitress said was not her favorite so I opted for the Jambalaya on my own decision; this is after all a Louisiana style restaurant. The shrimp and chicken were so dry I could barely chew it and the rice was bland and flavorless. The other person had Louisiana BBQ shrimp with grits and spinach and was satisfied. We also had mussels appetizer which were plump and delicious and my cocktail was good. Our server Alexandria was awesome and I wish I would have perused her knowledge of the menu better.
