I really want to like Electric Palm - but today’s experience will make it really hard to ever return. The restaurant wasn’t busy and it was nice to sit outside. But once I received my Diet Coke and found a press-on nail IN THE ICE, I was weary of everything else coming from the kitchen. The nail was in the ice cube (and definitely a fake nail- it had a small fish painted on it) - and clearly had to have been in the ice machine for a while to be frozen in a cube. Really a poorly run, overpriced establishment. Good forbid you go during the summer it will be hot as Hades. If you ask for a fan they will not accommodate. Out server was a space cadet. She was inattentive and would forget pinching in items ordered. The guy running the kitchen was worse. They would come out and start setting dishes in front of random people and had no idea who ordered what. The place wasn’t busy at all. Classic water side bar experience (in a good way) The Electric Palm is full of surprises from the music to numerous events they have like comedy night. It’s loud and fairly expensive but what do you expect? The electric palm has yet to severely disappoint me and I would come back for more. Go back on different nights of the week if you want a different experience. Plenty of seating, food & drink options, and live music. It’s loud, but just sit outside if you can’t handle it.
