As much as I would love to say good things about this place I just can’t. 1. The food was basic and over priced. 2. The restaurant is so out dated and not clean it almost made me leave but we had already ordered. 3. They can’t even give condiments with out charging. 4. The food was nothing to rave about small chicken tenders and dry fry’s and the wings were ok but that’s about it. My opinion is go here with low expectations and expect below decent food and don’t expect it to be cheap either we had 4 people and it cost us about $60 for fry’s and wings. I can’t believe I’ve never eaten at The Breezeway until today. What a hidden gem! Didn’t know they’ve been around for almost 3 decades in Opelika!! The owner found out we’d never been there before and wanted us to sample their signature chicken fingers and brought out fried and grilled ones for all of us. OMG! I have honestly never tasted a piece of chicken that delicious!! It was so juicy and tender and seasoned to perfection! I can’t believe I was actually raving over a chicken tender! Really good flavored grilled chicken strip and hot fries with amazing spicy Mayo to dip. My chicken salad sandwich was very good. .would have been better if the bread were warm, but it was cold. Still good tasting. I noticed the bill was high when they told me the final price. Cashier charged us for 2 drinks, I told him I didn't order any drinks. He the. Replied "you don't want anything to drink", I said no. He could not change the total on the register, he had to do it on calculator. And this was before I paid. It was kinda odd.
