Il Corso is a pretty nice looking place with a varied menu, but a few shortcomings that prevent it from being transcendent. I think my main issue is that the food should be better than it is. The saltimbocca I ordered was alright, but the plating was so uninspired, the textures were bland, and the flavors were a little underwhelming. Right from the beginning, our experience at Il Corso on El Paseo was unforgettable. The service was continuous and attentive throughout the evening. Our waiter, Marcos, was excellent—he gave thoughtful recommendations and introduced the restaurant manager that shared his wine expertise. Wow! What a great Italian restaurant with great food, service and location! From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were treated with kindness and respect until the end. Our waiter attended to us very well, which we truly appreciated. The food is absolutely excellent and perfect! Amazing experience altogether. I asked for a lobster dish and they recommended me the surf and turf. Absolutely awesome with such tender steak! And for the desert part make sure you try the chocolate cake with ice cream you won’t regret it :)
