so i’m not an experienced enjoyer of afro-caribbean cuisine but this is my third spot ive tried in rhode island and this is my favorite. they are really sweet here and helpful despite how wildly packed it was on a sunday evening. i cleaned out the last of the rice and peas and got half that half jollof. paid extra for steak and they gave me both chicken and steak. i went easy on vegetable toppings because i had an eventful couple of weeks with my health but next time im packing them on. the aunties house sauce and white garlic sauce were delicious. i also wanna try the plantains next time beca

Fresh, delicious ingredients = great bowls! Full of flavor to fill your tummy with goodness. If you’re anything like me, you may have option overload. However, the staff is extremely kind & patient. The team also has great knowledge on what goes well with what, so ask them what combinations they recommend! They really PACK the bowls up. It’s not like at chipotle when you gotta ask for “a little extra” of this or that. Highly recommend!

Auntie definitely knows flavor. I started with a build your own bowl with Jollof rice as the base and I’m glad they gave a lot because it tasted so good, creamy and aromatic. A few people in front of me were ordering the stew chicken as their meat and it looked so good so I had to get that. They gave two massive chicken drumsticks, which were also delicious and the chicken was wicked juicy. Their jerk sauce was smothered all over and it was fantastic as well. $15 total
