Annoying Alarm / Misleading Labels in Produce Department --- I don't live near this Safeway, but I sometimes stop in on my way home from work. Issue #1 --The last two Thursdays, I have stopped by to pick up a few items only to find a loud, annoying alarm blasting in the entrance area. NOT a friendly way to greet visitors. If an individual with autism or a hearing aid entered, this alarm could cause distress. I mentioned it to Customer Service both visits and was told both times that it is a recurring issued that no one knows how to fix. (not good enough) Issue #2 -- This problem IS someth

I have never spent more time standing in line behind just two people than I did today waiting for Rochelle to check out customers. I spent more time waiting in line behind a single customer with fewer than 20 items—plus my own checkout time—than I spent shopping in the store. Rochelle would be better suited stocking shelves or assisting customers at self-checkout rather than working as a cashier. Speaking of self-checkout, I've never seen so many customers needing assistance and being ignored as I did today. The overall checkout experience was extremely frustrating and inefficient.

This Safeway is such a convenient spot, especially because it opens earlier than all the other stores nearby — which is a huge plus! Perfect for early errands, grabbing breakfast items, or getting a head start on the day before everything else opens. The store is clean, well-organized, and easy to shop in. I like their inventory for the most part, but they have been awful at keeping enough employees at checkout forever. Also, i loathe self checkout. Last thing I am interested in is helping big corporations lay off even more workers.
