My wife and I were blown away by this hole-in-the-wall spot in Roosevelt District. It was our first time here, and our server, Mini (not sure if I spelled that right) did such a fantastic job at making us feel right at home. She answered all of our questions, gave us great recommendations, and was extremely polite. I mean talk about mouth watering, Gallo Blanco is delectable. From the drinks, to the food, to the service - all outstanding. I was disappointed I didn't have an opportunity to return for another night and if I lived locally, would make this a staple. Ordered the tacos; fried chicken, pork belly and carne asada. They were so good I ordered a 4th (pork belly again). I had the house margarita (x2). Service was top level. Sat at the bar, got a bunch of recommendations of other places to visit whilst in town. Highly, highly recommend.

I love this place and have been there more times than I have fingers. The Cortado Dos is my favorite salad in my whole history of salads and I have yet to take it down in a single sitting. The servers are always friendly, patient, and knowledgeable and I know that because my husband always has nine million questions about the menu. Tonight, KB kindly navigated him from pre-dinner sangrias to post-dinner horchata lattes with cheer and grace. I appreciate it.

I ordered Tacos La Parillada and went four-for-four with variety: Al Pastor, Barbacoa, Puerco Colorado, and Campechano, along with a side of beans and rice. I also ordered chips and salsa, which were fresh and a great way to kick things off. The tacos were loaded—generous portions of meat, well-seasoned, and filling. This wasn’t one of those places where you need six or seven tacos to feel satisfied. Four was way more than enough, and I definitely left full.
