Elira L★★★★★I went here with a friend for the first time last night but it definitely won’t be the last! Chai - they put it over ice for me, it was smooth and flavorful Chicken Mushroom - best curry I’ve EVER had. Garlic Naan, it was good but I didn’t taste much garlic so it was more like plain naan. Mango Lassi - delicious, so creamy and smooth! Very fresh taste as well Gulab Jamun (dessert) - pretty good! I was surprised it was cold instead of warm but I believe that’s how it’s meant to be served. (I also tried a bite of my friend’s Chicken Makhani (get this if you love butter chicken) and Paneer Naan -
Chris Scott★★★They must have had an off-night for me. Chicken 65 was mostly yogurt and only a tiny amount of spice. The spices were pink, like bubble gum paste and all I could taste was yogurt. Not what I am used to at other places. Chicken tikka massala was yellowy-orange, which Ive never seen before. I am used to a rose or darker red colored tomato and cream based sauce. This wasnt that. Flavor was OK but not what I am used to. Tandoori Murgh was closer to what I am used to from a spice flavoring standpoint, but it was wet like stewed chicken instead of what youd get cooked in a tandoor. I lived in India
Jess B★★★★★We were in the area and wanted to stop for dinner and my son requested Indian food. Googled and Clay Oven came up with incredible reviews. From the moment we waked in until we exited the restaurant we were taken care of. Being gluten and dairy free, I was blown away with my options. The Dal soup was so good I ordered one to go for later. We had the chicken vegetable curry and the chicken tikka masala and I had so much (with leftovers to boot) I nearly had to unbutton my pants. My son finished his meal with Kulfi Falooda and we ended up having to take some of that home. Jitesh was attentive, ki
Rudra Chowdhury★★★★★Clay Oven in Plymouth is a real gem for Indian food in Minneapolis. The place has a bright, lively vibe that makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. The staff is friendly and our food came out super quick, which was awesome. We kicked things off with Tandoori chicken and paneer kabab, and both were fresh and full of flavor—great start to the meal. The curries and Garlic Naans were spot on, but honestly, the biryani is where Clay Oven really shines. We tried the chicken, lamb, and veg biryani on different occasions and every single one hit the mark—super tasty and packed with all
