It was a nice Saturday afternoon. We were signed up for a birth and labor class. Were given a 1 hr lunch break and found this Cafeteria. It is a classic hospital cafeteria with plenty of different options. Pizza, sushi, burgers, salad bar, hot bar, coffee, ice cream, waters, sodas, energy drinks, and even chic fil a sandwiches and nuggets. The prices are good as well, 1 chic fil a sandwich, 2 orders of nuggets, big sparkling water, and a salad for $23. They had a ton of seating inside and some outdoor seating in a covered setting. This one star is not for the food nor what is being offered I really enjoy the food. Everything's always clean prices are reasonable, and the food is usually good. I just was not too pleased with the cafeteria workers. They were at the hot bar and I asked them if they would be bringing out more chicken and they both looked at me and ignored me and begin to keep talking to each other . Then I asked them if the chicken was spicy and the one walked away and the other one just looked at me and walked away. I was completely confused why they were dismissing me. I just need to rave about this Cafeteria for a minute! They have the best food and a wide variety so you have plenty of options to choose from! This is good if you have any dietary restrictions. Also it is kept very clean and is so organized and I just love it! Unfortunately I haven't been back since right before COVID hit because of restrictions and because I am not sure if they have reopened to the public yet. I hope that one day I can go again because they're THAT good! I used to go to the café everyday when I was taking classes at Wake Tech across the street walking distance. Anyway it is

Wonderful cafeteria for those in need of food at WakeMed. While the food is good, the service is even better. Late in the night, while staying at the hospital, my wife and I needed something to eat and were met with amazing hospitality by Angela at the Boars Head counter. Even at such a late hour of the night, Angela was so sweet and happy to help. Her bright smile and positive attitude really made my night. Thanks for having such wonderful staff, WakeMed!
