One of my friend went to New Zealand and that got me thinking of meat pies I had there. I ordered Steak and Mushroom pie and coffee with. The pie was: 1) Freshly made. They made their pies in behind the window in the second photo 2) Ingredients are great quality: The beef was not chewy and fresh, mushroom is smaller buttoned mushroom I think? Either case the mushroom is not mushy (forgive the pun) and held itself well 3) The taste: Gravy got great taste and I think good beef stock was used in there, with mushroom adding more of the savory flavor into it; 4) The pie (crust): Fluffy and crispy
