We LOVE zao! It is our favorite place to eat in Logan and we come here almost once a week! We love the staff and enjoy talking with them! We have been long term fans of Zao, absolutely loved it for years but this time was disappointing. As I ordered my food they were stingy with each and every portion of the rice bowl. Weighing the grains of rice literally, taking out a teaspoon of rice here and there. The portions have gotten so small while the price has increased over the years. I wanted just a bit more broccoli than the four pieces they gave and asking for that was extra! I miss the generous spirit of Zao and I ate my lunch and was still hungry. I was really impressed with the fresh ingredients and the amount of food. Things are generally more expensive than I think they should be (I'm always comparing to pre 2021 inflation costs), but for the amount of food you get, it's a fair price. The help was good and atmosphere was fine.

Have really enjoyed it in the past but the bowl I ordered for 12$ maybe had 4 pieces of steak which does not seem fair. This is a trend I'm seeing other places so really it's a bigger problem then just here.
