As a Filipino, I’m very skeptical of Filipino food in the middle of Rockford, Illinois. I had tapsilog and I don’t know what else to say other than, that’s what it’s supposed to taste like. Nailed it. I had an Ube Iced latte that was okay. I ordered it with oat milk, maybe it’s better with whole milk. Service was also very good, server was smiley and nice. I am excited to try their other pinoy-fusion creations after this lovely brunch experience.

Lola, our server, was fantastic! Relaxed atmosphere, love the curated art that’s on display (and also for sale). Enjoyed the tap si log and a hot latte; my hubby had the Egg Boiieee! (And when the server asked my hubby what he wanted, he totally said “Egg Boiieee” in his best “Flavor Flav” impression - lol. Ube cheesecake for dessert. Everything was delicious 🤗

I have never had Filipino food before and this was a pleasant welcome. The Ube pancakes were unique and great and the chicken adobo sandwich was amazing. The fries were the best I ever had. Our waitress was super sweet and very helpful.

Overall cool atmosphere. Service is a bit rough when it gets busy, try to get there early for brunch. Food was good, especially for the price. Really enjoyed it! Will try to come back for dinner next time.
