We ordered pick up from Panda Chef tonight after I got a craving for soup dumplings and we discovered they were on the menu. When we started look at what else they had, we were very excited - scallion pancakes, chili wontons, bacon fried rice, char kuey teow noodles! Did we order too much food for two adults and a 9 year old? Oh we did. Everything was delicious and well cooked! I was passing through the city of Sachse and decided to stop by Panda Chef—and I’m so glad I did! I tried the fried rice and General Tso’s chicken, and both were absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, and the flavors were spot on. I had a quick chat with the owner, who is super friendly, and found out they just took over the restaurant a few days ago. It’s now under new ownership and a new chef, which definitely explains why the food tasted way better than what I had read in older reviews. You can really tell the difference.
