I was just looking for a place to cool off here in Salem, OR just a few blocked from the Capital. It is situated in a strip mall, but convenient. One unexpected surprise was that there was a moratorium on parking fees. Anyway, the restaurant was nice, clean and inviting. It has the standard bright Mexican colors. The server seated me right away, brought chips and salsa and took my order right away. The salsa was tasty and spicy. The margaritas were were tiny, but good. I ordered the shrimp enchiladas, also great. Everything was reasonably priced. Not bad for the Pacific Northwest.

The pupusas here are our favorite, and the food overall is very good. The margaritas are also delicious. I expected a larger variety of margarita options, but the specialty margaritas are definitely worth paying a little extra for. One thing to note is that ordering a pitcher doesn't really save money—it ends up costing about the same as everyone ordering their own drink. The only dish that disappointed me was the tortilla soup. It tasted more like a chicken soup with tortilla strips than a true tortilla soup.
