This was my first time at a Cheddar's and was thoroughly impressed. The croissants they bring to the table were amazing. The food was also delicious. It really felt like a home cooked meal. The prices were also fantastic for today's economy!

Hostess asked me if I'd sit at the bar since dining alone. No, I'd prefer a table. Will I take a booth? I accepted thinking there were no tables. Plenty available. Coffee slow in coming but fresh when I got it. Sadly, I was never offered a refill. My water wasn't refilled either. Server only came back to collect. Asked for coffee to go. No, their to-go cups can't hold a hot drink. Really? Honey mustard dressing was made with Dijon, meatloaf was tender and mashed potatoes fresh. Our waitress whose name I don’t remember was wonderful. She was welcoming, kind, attentive, offered drinks to go, checked on us regularly. I ordered the cornmeal crusted white fish with fries and broccoli. The broccoli was seasoned and cooked really well, and I unfortunately ate a piece before I took a good look at the dish. I can’t believe someone in that kitchen served this to a human being to eat.

The food was not great, but not the worst I've ever had either. It was hot and fresh, but the taste made me want to gag (the chicken fried chicken was not it). Service was good. My waitress was super helpful and understanding when I decided to order something else.
