Great vibes to chat with a friend, not so much to get work done, as there was live music and a generally social vibe when I walked in (though there were some people with a laptop so if noise doesn’t bother you then go for it). Great seating options including couches and chairs and tables. Seems very community-oriented; lots of flyers for upcoming events and you’ll notice progressive political messages all around. Absolutely amazing cafe with a badass owner serving up neighborhood culture and community for decades. The food is always served with a bunch of extras, even if you get a bagel it comes on a big plate with all these tasty little things. I highly recommend their sandwiches - talk to the staff about which to get they always steer me straight. Great jazz ensembles on weekends and a beautiful back patio with a brilliant mural to backdrop your coffeehouse experience.

My bike got stolen and I came here for having a cup of coffee and taking a rest. The owner and her staff are both very warm and nice. They gave me a very big cup of coffee and served me extra warm milk, they are nice and warm people in the city. They have WiFi for free too.
