When planning a small birthday celebration for our daughter the first thought of food that crossed our mind was Great Lakes Grinders. We contacted them and easily selected a tray of our favorite grinders along with our favorite pasta salad and potato salad. The day we picked everything up was a breeze! The excitement to be able to eat a tray of grinders and sides in February was over the top! Every bite was amazing! Out of town friends experienced their first taste of Great Lakes Grinders and shared their appreciation for the deliciousness! There’s nothing quite as satisfying as a grinder!

What a gem find! Great Lakes grinders is a gem in Sandusky! Located in downtown Sandusky right on the water. Couldn't get any better than that! Service was quick and efficient. Food was walked out to us at our table. Sandwich was amazing! Bread is shipped in from New Jersey. And boy does that make a difference! Great texture and really makes the sandwich. Meat and veggies were very fresh and on point. Overall a very well put together sandwich. 100% recommend!

What a great place! Before heading home, we stopped at Great Lakes Grinders for a quick bite to eat. This place is located in a small but cute park along Lake Erie, near Cedar Point. The employees were pleasant and eager to take our order. As one that has been searching for a great meatball sub/grinder for over 30 yrs (when a former favorite Italian place closed), I immediately ordered the Mackinac Meatball (minus the crushed red peppers), and half expecting it to be just okay. Picked up some lunch on a windy day … wife had turkey avocado I had the Sicilian. Sandwiches were excellent with a wonderful hoagy roll. Service was great, staff was respectful and nice. Clean facility with outdoor seating at local park.
