Our family was on vacation and wanted to try a local place in the area and came across this place based on the reviews. Talk about a hole in the wall establishment... and I say that positively! The staff was very polite and made us feel welcome. The gentleman in the kitchen making our meal was cool and happy to answer any questions and recommendations. The definition of "Comfort Food" — Creative, Huge, and Delicious! We absolutely love Zuppaman in Sandusky, and if you are a fan of unique sandwiches, you have to try this place. While the outside isn’t really anything to look at the menu is! We ordered a few different items (see photos), and every single one was a masterpiece of toasted bread and creative fillings. The Highlights: • The "Sketti" Sandwich: I never thought I needed spaghetti inside a grilled cheese until I tried this. The menu has fantastic ideas, but the execution was not the best. We saw some hygiene concerns with using the same gloved hands as restocking drinks. Everyone in our group said their food wasn’t that great. Over cooked meat, dry pasta, cold soup, etc. It took quite awhile to get our food. I don’t think we were charged correctly on the drinks? We may have been undercharged, but I didn’t realize it until we were walking out the door. It wasn’t the worst experience, but I don’t think we’d go back. There may simply be training needs? Perhaps it was just a bad night? The employees seemed kind.
