Although not pictured, I did infact get am opera cake from here. It was delicious and shareable. Depending on your sweet tooth and portion size. I say modestly it can be shared between 2-4 people. The cake was light, with a smooth consistency. Chocolate is not too rich because I have a sneeze indicator. The higher the percentage in dark chocolate the higher the likelihood I am to sneeze. I was just on the verge and typically happens somewhere between 70% and above. Anyways I recommend coming here and trying their offerings. I was eyeing a pistachio croissant they have so I might be back again

Got a chocolate croissant and two macaroons. Really good price for quality. The seating and atmosphere was great and friendly staff. I sat around for an hour slowly eating and was never bothered, so that was nice. Everything good and clean! Amazing and tasty.

Regrettably, Belle Epicurean has gone downhill. The variety of items available has shrunk. Our sandwich today was made from a chewy, stale baguette. The twice-baked almond croissant was unappetizing. And the prices have gone way up. Thankfully, the service was nice. We'll be looking elsewhere for coffee and pastries.

I’ve been here several times to give it a chance but it’s been disappointing every time. The location is great hence why I keep stopping by. The coffee is fine because you can’t really mess it up. Pastry prices are ridiculous, $6.75 for a mediocre an almond croissant is insulting. Plus the service is really slow. There were three people working and it took them forever to make two coffees. I asked about a raspberry almond and one person said “I don’t know. I don’t eat here.”
