Café Saint-Ex is located on the bustling and popular 14th St corridor close to U St and has been a neighborhood staple since the early 2000s. Decent menu, though very few entrees- which may be good if you just want salads, apps, or a sandwich. The truffled deviled eggs were fine, though I couldn't taste any sign of the truffle part. The crab toast app was just OK as well. You definitely have to get in there with a knife and fork to compile your own well balanced bite. Too much bread or corn, and the crab flavor is lost. The flavors in the dish really didn't come together well for me. My wife had the brisket sandwich, which was good. I had the heirloom grain salad with chicken, which was also OK- the grains disappeared somewhere. The

This place is horrific! I bought a jerk chicken sandwich and truffle fries at 2:19am to a very short line and had to demand where my otder was into 49 minutes waiting time! The attendant was extremely rude and apathetic to my concern. She offered me a bottle of water for the 45 minutes plus time that it took me to get my order. Then she was extremely disrespectful when inquired on the reasoning behind why my simple order was taking so long to fulfill. I will never patronize this disrespectful establishment again!! And the truffle fries are truffle trash

This is a great spot. Came here to see a friend DJ last night and we had the booth by the back. Shoutout the security guy, he was cool and even helped flag down the waiter for water. Big ups. This place turns up better than most on 14th
