Long overdue review, but this is truly one of my FAVORITE restaurants in LA! My go-to orders are the mazeh plate (with mirza ghasemi, smashed olives, and the seasonal vegetable yogurt), kofteh tabrizi, and turmeric braised chicken. My favorite drink is the albaloo spritz! The beef tongue was tender and flavorful, and the crushed green olives added a really nice fresh, slightly briny touch that made the sandwich feel unique and well balanced. Azizam is one of the best modern Persian restaurants in LA. It goes far beyond kebab and offers a creative, elevated take on Persian cuisine. Everything we tried was unique, thoughtfully prepared, and absolutely delicious. It was one of the best Persian restaurants I have ever visited. The prices were reasonable for the quality and portion sizes of the food. We tried the Ashe Jo and Kotlet Sandwich, and both were amazing. For dessert, we had the Napeleoni, which was delicious! The staff were very friendly, and the service was excellent. I look forward to returning to LA and visiting this place again!
