Very different vibe. Club like low seating, which I liked. Multiple large screens showing sports until the DJ started playing at 9 PM in a Friday and most were swirhed to a fake fireplace. There is outdoor seating up front. A big bar with seating amd more TVs. We had a 6:30 PM reservation and parked right up front and it was pretty empty inside. By 9:00 PM it got packed. When we left at 11:30 PM it was basically a club inside. The DJ had the crowd dancing. Out front was crazy with cars, people entering a separate entrance to go to the rooftop, flashing lights, gated line to get up there. Fun

If you're looking for more than just a vibe, Citizens & Culture isn't it. The atmosphere and energy are great. When you walk in, the music is blasting, the bar is lively, patrons are dancing, and the ambiance is modern and youthful. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. Talk about a WHOLE VIBE!! My Bestie located this spot on Instagram promoted by the Flyest Events crew for a Velvet Nights: After Seven Dinner Experience and the hype did not disappoint. The space is huge, big ole bar, spacious seating at tables and couches to lounge. I read that they have an upstairs area with a retractable top but upstairs was closed. The DJ played hit after hit, after hit of RnB music, had the place swooning all night. We definitely enjoyed our evening at Citizens and Culture. The Dj, food, and service were top notch. The manager Kevin stopped by and greeted us and our waiter Luther was absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend for Citizens and Culture for a fun, tasty, and safe evening out in downtown Silver Spring.
