We've ordered the 100 piece fried chicken from the Simi Valley store on 3 separate occasions and had 3 times when they screwed up the order. Each time they've told us they didnt realize the order had even been placed, when we've placed the order more than 24hrs in advance. The first time, they told us to order online, but when we went to pick it up, the kitchen said that online orders do not exist. I'm an Asian dude with Mexican as my fave food. I drive really far to come here. This supermarket has better meats, and way more variety, than my local Ralphs, Vons, etc. The tortillas made here are better than tortillas from anywhere else that I know of! 😋 Also, everyone is so friendly, the butchers, checkout, and the people behind the little restaurant on the right.

Vallarta is a great place to shop. They have so many products you just can't find at a place like Vons or Ralph's. Obviously, the Tortillas are incredible, and fresh. The selection of masa is huge as well if you're inclined to make your own. The baked goods are amazing: both Mexican pastries & conchas, as well as quality cakes and fruit tarts. One of my favorite things about Vallarta is the meat department. There is so much less waste than American grocers. You can get pig ears, soup bones, chicken feet - all the off cuts that you need for some recipes but are otherwise hard to find, and I l
