Had an excellent breakfast in Pasadena at a classic old school California coffee shop called Shakers. Loved my Southern fried steak & eggs. Biscuits & sausage gravy is included and it was a lot of food. Tasty gravy, full of flavor. I was almost able to finish it all. My friend said his Belgian waffle was perfectly cooked, crispy outside and fluffy tender within. If it was only closer I'd be there often.

We had a wonderful dinner here tonight! We loved everything we had, especially a special they had due to the upcoming holiday, their Thanksgiving Sandwich, as well as a classic cheeseburger. We held the thousand island on the burger and added mustard, and received a beautifully cooked, great size, juicy patty on a fresh tasting bun. The bun wasn’t too dense, overall the ingredients and prep of both sandwiches just worked so well. We were really impressed. Chili had great flavor and seasoning, with nice accompaniments (diced white onion, sour cream, and a little portion of homemade garlic bread

Trusty delicious diner! The cornbeef hash is always so good here. The service was excellent. I'm going to miss this place 😔 I hear they are closing for good in 6 months to a year.
