We had a somewhat conflicting experience here.This place is beautiful for sure, a very cozy dining room with lovely decor. The drinks were tasty! We got the tater tot casserole appetizer to share and really enjoyed it. The main courses were unfortunately just not great. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and it came out overcooked, the breading burnt actually. I really hate to send food back, but this was inedible and im not sure how it got sent out of the kitchen to begin with. We sent back and ordered a burger instead. This is a place to enjoy your company and have a leisurely meal, if you are rushing or have bad company i definitely don’t recommend this establishment. It’s a beautiful building with warm lighting that is so inviting, the music threw me off a bit though I must admit, a bit loud and more pop than expected (doja cat was being played when we were seated). Downstairs and cozy seems to be a good description. Nice variety of options but not a huge menu. We split a dinner salad (big) and I had gnocchi and my wife had the chicken shnitzel. Both were excellent and plentiful. We both took boxes. The gnocchi would blend awesome with a half chicken shnitzel on top! Next time. We've also had the pan crusted fish which is a winner as well. Stay at the Montvale and make it a getaway like we did!

OMG, this place is such an experience. If you like magical environments and unicorns, this place is for you. It is located underground and it feels like you are in a pub of a castle. The food came relatively quick. When I tell you the presentation of the food was beautiful, I can't express it enough. Now, the taste, was otherworldly.
