I visited here at 3:25pm on a Friday afternoon while taking a food break from City Museum. I finally ordered at 3:40pm via tablet (delay due to son’s indecisiveness). Sons and I are visiting from out of town. Order included: Kids chicken tenders and fries, chicken Philly, regular Philly, mozzarella sticks, and 3 Arizonas; total was $47. The prices on the tablet for some items were slightly higher than prices listed on the menu above the counter. Food was ready at 4:04pm. I ordered my food at 2:37 pm! Which was an order of fried cauliflower. They say 15 mins ok cool I get there at 2:58 paid for my food….a few seconds after I paid the Asian lady bagging the food said “they just told me we are out of cauliflower “ I’m like what?! Why would yall let me pay for it if you KNEW it was sold out……okay I said well ig I’ll take the jalapeño poppers (5) I said can you throw me a couple extra ones in there for the inconvenience (because my food should have been ready when I got there) she said no I’m not gonna do that…. Okay whatever it’s the principle!

Okay for one the price for a chicken Philly on their screen in store says 10.99 but I was charged 11.43 with 11% tax. Then I get home and I only have meat only half my sandwich.

Everyone, I found you a late night spot. Pops Kitchen on Washington Ave is proof that not all late-night fried food has to come in a cardboard box from a chain. This is the local joint where the grease is just better and the fish actually tastes like fish. I went all in on the catfish and it was #StLouisPescatarianApproved The breading was perfectly crispy and the inside was flaky. And yes, I was out past midnight, so where's my medal?
