Our first time here and will try it again. We were out checking out the local pubs/bars in downtown State College and thought this place was pretty decent. We didn’t get the pizza, but it looked good. We each had a cocktail and soft pretzels for an appetizer. All were good and prices great.

My wife and I decided to spend a Friday afternoon in downtown State College. We started at Doggie’s. We liked the place as we walked in. Traditional college dive bar. We each had one drink and we split the pretzel sticks. All were good. It was a good experience and we will be back.

Visited our son at Penn State a couple of months ago and popped in. We are from the Uk and thought it was great - such an atmosphere and a v friendly feeling. Pizza was pretty good too. Our son is on the rugby team and Doggies have been so supportive of the team which is much appreciated. We are coming again in a few weeks and will definitely be back (just maybe not outside this time ……)

We got kicked out for no clear reason, and we’re still not sure why. There seemed to be some concern about fake IDs, but the police came, checked all of our IDs, and confirmed that everything was valid. After that, we left. The whole situation was frustrating and felt unnecessary, and it seemed like assumptions were made about us before any facts were checked. We left feeling that bias may have played a role in how we were treated. Security guards all power tripped while we were being respectful.
