I stopped by today for Tropical Smoothie's National Flip Flop Day promotion and had a great experience from start to finish. The process was simple, the staff was friendly, and everything moved surprisingly quickly even with the extra traffic from people coming in for their free smoothie. Tropical Smoothie offered a free 12 oz. Mango Monsoon Smoothie to guests wearing flip-flops, which was a fun way to kick off summer and introduce customers to one of their tropical flavors. I’ve had two very disappointing experiences with the same employee at this Tropical Smoothie location on University Drive. This employee is often on the phone while working. She keeps her phone inside her shirt and continues talking on it while taking customers’ orders. This morning, she took my order incorrectly because she was distracted by her phone conversation. When I politely pointed out that my order was wrong, instead of listening and correcting the mistake, she raised her voice at me and became argumentative. This place needs to be shut down they refuse to package smoothies properly sloppy and disgusting every time the fruits don’t taste fresh. There’s so many other tropical smoothies that get it right this place is a disgrace shut it down.
