Tried the tomato broth at Mala Town in Union City, really enjoyed it. The flavor was rich, slightly tangy, and super comforting. Perfect balance without being too heavy. Definitely a great option if you don’t want something too spicy. I’ll be ordering this again.

Food is $17 by the pound. A bit on the expensive side if I compare to similar mala towns in bay area. But their quality may be higher and they have plenty of broth options- most of any similar spot I have seen. Salad bar is also good. Our server was also very sweet. Also their tofu is great and I don’t even like tofu. Deducting one star for the price. I’ll be back!

Really enjoyed this place! I especially loved the spicy dry mix pot (mala ban)—the flavor was rich, bold, and super satisfying. Everything was well coated in the sauce, and the seasoning was strong without being overwhelming. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the portion was generous. Definitely worth trying if you like flavorful food. I’d come back again!

Hits the spot every time. Very good food and good vibes here. The selection is always fresh and abundant. The cost of your meal is entirely up to you. It's like a little game to see how much it'll be and you can pivot and adjust the more you go! If you go overboard, they have good to-go containers for later. I was close to the kitchen closing one night and they were cleaning the sauces. I unfortunately forgot to grab any before this but the staff saw and offered to grab me a dipping sauce. They didn't have to, but it was much appreciated 🙌🏽
