Here for a visit and I wanted something good. I saw photos and reviews on goggle and decided to try. I ordered 4 whole wings with fries, pizza puff, and the pineapple lemonade. It says cook to order but my food was not hot at all it was barely warm and lack seasoning. My pizza puff was half good and half burnt. The lemonade was good tho. I think the next time i’m in town I will not try this place.

I am shook. Kay's kitchen was on my list for banging chicken gizzards. They had me driving out to Bearss from Brandon! Now this redsauce 'drizzle' is sopping x 10!! Fries one big mush glob down under the gizzards. The cap of the sauce must of come off and rather than remake it the lady just wrapped the package up and put it on the bottom of the three orders! Kay needs to watch her!!! Very disappointing when everyone else was eating and I was trying to find an area that wasn't smushy to nibble. P.S. As someone who was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, and has spent plenty of time in Chicago, I can confidently say that Kay’s Kitchen on Bearss is the real deal. I ordered the chicken sandwich with fries and hush puppies, all covered in their signature Chicago seasoning and authentic Chicago mild sauce, and honestly, it was one of the best things I’ve put in my mouth in a long time. The flavor was absolutely incredible. The seasoning, the crunch, the mild sauce—everything tasted exactly like the food I grew up eating back home. As a Chicagoan, I think often of how great Kay’s Kitchen is and stop by any chance I get. From the fried okra, wings, hush puppies, fried fish. Everything’s always fresh and the crack seasoning, + mild sauce always tastes so great. Pictured is the 8 whole wing combo & a pizza puff!
