Staff are nice. Lots of offerings. However I have 2 significant issues with thr Dorchester location; 1. Why are your Boston prces so much higher (10-20%) than in your very nearby suburban Star (and Shaw’s) locations? The “sorry you live in the city” surcharge pricing for urban dwellers is deeply unfair. 2. This problem is conpounded by the fact that every week, without fail, you run out of your sales items. If you care about knowing the price of your food, I have a hard time recommending this grocery store. Nice grocery store, but their pricing labels are bad and inconsistent. There were 2 labels that were identical (including the weight) but the price per pound was different. That math 'aint mathin'. There were labels that had he same or almost the description but different prices. I didn't think a business, especially of this size, could have such poor labeling. To be honest, I was considering giving 2 stars since this is such a fundamental error, but the experience in the store was otherwise

This is a great grocery store with lots of fresh and frozen options. It was a great option when staying near the area and I would definitely visit again. The space was clean and spacious and the staff were helpful and efficient.

During my visit to the self-checkout at Star Market, I had an uncomfortable interaction with a staff member named Hetal. While I was entering my rewards number and preparing to scan my apples, she immediately told me that I needed to scan the apples because of a “new system” they have. She then repeatedly insisted that I scan them and continued to involve herself in the transaction, even though I had not asked for assistance and was in the process of completing the steps myself.
