Stopped in at six on a Monday, they close at seven. Counter serve, I get a sense they do a lot of lunch business. Clean dining room with a dozen or so booths and tables. I ordered a Gyro Platter and an Iced Tea. The plate came with Lemon Potatoes that are skinless baked potato spears soaked in butter, garlic, lemon and Greek spices. Unique and quite good! The Gyros were tasty too. The Tzatziki sauce was on the thick side - garlic forward - I would have preferred a bit of dill in it or maybe more cucumber. Still, very respectable plate.

I finally tried Grumpy’s MeatZeria and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food is straight comfort food done right. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care, not rushed or generic. You can tell they take pride in what they put out. The portions are generous, the flavors are bold, and nothing felt overdone or greasy. It’s the kind of place where you take a bite and immediately get why locals keep coming back. I stay in Victoria quite a lot for work. My family traveled with me and my wife likes trying new places and she found this place. The lady that served my family and I could not have been any nicer. Very friendly and welcoming. Inside was very clean. All of the food that we got was amazing and well priced. I got the catfish Po-boy and will be getting it again. My wife got the Philly and she said that it was delicious. I took a bit of my son’s spicy chicken gyro and it was amazing as well. Absolutely recommend stopping at this place at least ounce if you are coming through Victoria:)

So good! We got the lamb gyro and Philly cheesesteak. Great lunch while traveling and a good price! All of their pies are made in house and also very tasty!
