I ordered a side of the corned beef hash which tasted like it was cooked in a microwave, soft and mushy with no crisp nor crunch. To their credit, the poached eggs were properly-done, with a nice runny yolk. The inside vibe looks like it hasn’t changed in 55 years, in a good way, and it’s just as I remember it decades ago. The service was polite, professional, and attentive. I will come back here again and give this Place a second chance, and maybe order something different.

I had faith that the country fried steak and eggs would be a winner and I was correct. Sopped up what remained on my plate with toast then washed everything down with black coffee. An enjoyable breakfast that came out to $32 with tip included.

What a disappointing diner, not sure what all the hype is about. The sausage tasted as if it still needed to be defrosted. The breakfast burrito flavor was good, but the bottom part touching the plate was super soggy and fell apart halfway through. The home fries tasted terrible and were soooo soggy, not crispy at all. They were inedible. The breakfast sandwich on a bagel was disgusting, super stale tasting and had no flavor. The cinnamon roll was ok, but tasted a little off. Always great food at the Virginian! Great local spot and a place where you always run into old friends and make new ones. Delicious!
