If you’re in Waco and craving authentic Mexican food, El Charro Tapatío is a must! The service is always warm, attentive, and welcoming, you feel taken care of from the moment you walk in. The carne en su jugo plate is absolutely amazing. The broth is rich and flavorful, the meat is tender, and the toppings bring everything together perfectly. It’s comforting, authentic, and easily one of the best versions I’ve had. Great food, great service, and a true taste of tradition. I’ll definitely be back!

Went for lunch today. Ordered 2 chicken tacos to go. Service was great. Young lady was very friendly and food came out pretty fast. The tortillas are home made and very fresh. The lettuce and tomatoes were packed separately- the chicken was just right- hot and flavorful. Red sauce has a bite to it, and has a good flavor. Will definitely be back for dinner one day.

I got a breakfast burrito and an asada taco very good. Prices were pretty high though. 4.50 for a fountain drink is outrageous. Food prices were alot more than I expected for a place I had been to before the remodel and now its at least 5 bucks more. I feel like I'm helping pay for the remodel

I've ate there for both breakfast and dinner. The food never disappoints. The service is ok but the staff isn't very attentive. It can be very loud at times im not big on that kind atmosphere. Overall its a decent spot with authentic Mexican food. Ill always go back for the amazing food.
